Upper School
Maryvale's Upper School blends girls from our Middle School with students from area public, private and parochial schools. Although they come from a wide variety of backgrounds, by the time they reach graduation they are 'sisters' with life-long friendships.

- At Maryvale, learning reaches beyond the classroom walls.
Maryvale's Upper School is comprised of 293 young women who develop strong bonds with their classmates thanks to their academic achievements and the traditions they share. Overnight retreats, milestones such as Ring Day and annual events like Gym Meet promote unity among and between the classes. Small class sizes allow teachers to integrate analysis and problem-solving, decision-making and critical/creative thinking experiences into the classroom. Maryvale continues to embrace the use of technology as a tool to enhance learning and communication.
At Maryvale, learning reaches beyond the classroom walls. For many girls, community service begins as a requirement but grows into a lifetime commitment to serve others. Throughout the year, groups of students spend a school day serving the needy at a local soup kitchen. After school, our competitive athletes consistently earn accolades and championships, while our talented students in drama and chorus draw ovations for their stellar performances.
Middle School
The Maryvale Middle School is a place where young girls journey from childhood to adolescence in a nurturing and supportive environment. The passage from grade six through eight is a time for discovery, excitement and personal growth, all at once.
In Middle School, learning is challenging and fun. Throughout the year special programs provide students with the opportunity to develop unique personal interests and investigate new areas of learning. The curriculum reinforces basic academic skills and creative abilities begun in the elementary years and introduces students to life science, information technology, French and Spanish. Students are offered a variety of enriching activities, including the field trips, competitive sports, music and drama.
