Beneath a canopy of stars, the Harvest of Hope Gala brings together community leaders, longtime supporters, and friends of Maryvale for an unforgettable evening of dining, inspiration, and philanthropy—all benefiting vulnerable children and families throughout the San Gabriel Valley.
This milestone year offers an opportunity to reflect on Maryvale’s remarkable legacy as Los Angeles County’s oldest children’s charity. For 170 years, we have adapted to meet the changing needs of our community while remaining steadfast in our commitment to creating brighter futures for generations to come.

In 1856, six Sisters answered a call guided by faith, courage, and boundless love. With only seven children in their care, they planted the seeds of what would become a 170-year legacy of service. Today, we honor these visionary women whose compassion created a sanctuary for generations.
Their spirit lives on in every child uplifted, every family restored, and every future reimagined. As we celebrate this extraordinary legacy, we invite you to join us in reaffirming the belief that every child deserves a life filled with hope.
That founding spirit is alive today as Maryvale — Los Angeles County’s oldest children’s charity — has grown into a place of healing and hope for vulnerable children and families across the San Gabriel Valley. Through early childhood education, mental health services, and housing support, we meet families where they are across campuses in Rosemead, Duarte, and South El Monte.
