Sister Estela Morales, D.C.

Sister Estela Morales is a member of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul and serves on the Provincial Council for the Daughters of Charity Province of the West as Councilor of Social Ministries. Sister Estela began working for The Epiphany Center in San Francisco in 1989 and served as Executive Director since 2008.
In addition to her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University, she has 30 years of supervisory experience in social service agencies. Prior to her time as Executive Director, she directed day care for young children as well as residential programs for young children and adolescents.

She has over 20 years of experience working with special needs infants and their parents and served on a primary health care project in Lima, Peru. She also worked with migrant workers in central California and is bilingual Spanish.

Sister Estela has a long history with Maryvale having served as a Teacher and Director of the Day Care Center program from 1971-1978 and Director of the Residential Program from 1983-1984. Sr. Estela joined the Board in November 2007.
