Sister Patricia Miguel, D.C.
Sister Patricia Miguel joined the Daughters of Charity in 1982 and currently serves as the Treasurer for the Province and Chairperson of the Board of Directors. Sister Patricia’s affiliation with the Daughters of Charity began a year after she completed her undergraduate studies at College of Notre Dame, now known as the University of Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, California. She received a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Boston College.
As a clinical social worker, Sister Patricia worked in elementary schools and residential treatment facilities including Maryvale. She was a counselor at St. Francis Medical Center's Children Counseling Center and a mission leader for St. Vincent Medical Center. She has served on the board for the South Central Los Angeles Ministry Project (LAMP), a community program that empowers disadvantaged women and their families. She has also served on the Board of Directors for several hospitals.
While at Maryvale from 1992 to 2006, Sister Patricia held the positions of supervisor for the night and on-call staff, liaison with the outreach program and Director of the Foster Family Program. Sister Patricia joined the Board in December 2018.
