A Girl Scout on a Mission

Industrious and kind first-grader, Caitlin, recently visited Maryvale with a super delicious donation:  Girl Scout cookies! Caitlin, with the support of her family and Troop 12135, raised money to purchase boxes of her very favorite Girl Scout cookies (Savannah Smiles, Trefoils, Samoas, Thin Mints and Toffee-tastics!) for Maryvale's children.

Thank you, Caitlin!

Birthday Bounty

Welcome, Superhero Victoria! Over the years Victoria, a local teen who recently had a birthday, learned about Maryvale's children from her parents but never had the opportunity to visit the campus.

To celebrate her birthday this year, Victoria decided to use her birthday money and instead of spending it on herself, bought beautiful bedding sets and clothing for our children.

"I live in the area and have always wanted to do something special for the kids," she said. And this year was the year! Thank you, Victoria, for your kind heart and compassionate donation.

From the Heart

We are deeply grateful to artist Sharon Cummings for lending us the use of her art, “Always,” so we can enhance our website with this beautiful image.

Sharon, who has a master’s degree in fine art, has showcased her creations at art shows and gallery installations, but has found the internet to be her best source for displaying and sharing her work.

"Art is not a luxury… it brings joy to the beholder,” Sharon says.

Maryvale is so appreciative for the beautiful heart, both of the drawing and of the artist.

You can view Sharon's creations at http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/sharoncummingsart.html
