Juan Arellano
Director of Facilities
Juan Arellano, is a Facilities Director with more than 35 years of experience in Facilities Management, Strategic Planning and Program Management.
Juan joined Maryvale in October 2017, and since 2018 has been the Director of Facilities/Housekeeping at Maryvale where he is responsible for the management of both campuses in Rosemead and Duarte and the supervision and control of the Facilities Department. This includes overseeing all aspects of general and preventative maintenance necessary for the upkeep, safety, and smooth operation of all Maryvale facilities. Responsibilities include grounds maintenance, construction and risk management, overseeing all building and property construction and improvements in both capital and operating budgets.
Prior to joining Maryvale, Juan spent 30 years with the City of Vernon where he coordinated, scheduled and inspected contracted services. He obtained bids and made recommendations for special projects and performed inspections and oversight of various new construction projects. Juan provided daily work direction over work crews and provided training for newly hired staff in the Facilities Department.
