Our Mission is to help each child achieve fulfillment, dignity, and self-esteem in an environment of stability, love, and respect.

Founded in 1856 by the Daughters of Charity, Maryvale was the first orphanage for the growing city of Los Angeles. It has operated continuously since then, evolving to respond to the changing needs of the families and children of Los Angeles.
